Poeming On A Smile

If I'm poeming about smiling, laughing and joy it doesn't mean I'm feeling this way at the time. It simply means that this is the direction I'm headed for.

Some people want everything good but don't want to pay the price or make the sacrifice. This is just part of our human nature. I too, wish I could win millions in the lotto and retire from working, but this is fantasy. I too, love to feel good, laugh and smile all the time, but this is fantasy also.

What I do have in my control is my words. Even if I'm feeling bad, I can still write about feeling good. I can still walk out and face the rising sun, then watch it leave when it's done. I can watch the animals and children play. I can consume almost anything involving joy into my brain, then let it reflect on my rain.

Observing and soaking in joy and fun, can be a motivation to ignite our own sun. I always figure, if others can enjoy life, so can I. I never close myself down to joy, even when the devil tries hard to destroy. The door to love, joy and fun always stays open for me, so I let it reflect in my poetry.

A smile and a frown
is usually choice anyway,
especially if we want to
enjoy our day.

We should learn to be kind to ourselves,
just as we want others too.
